Southern 100 Racing has announced that Manx Radio will continue to be the official broadcast partner for all the races held on the Billown course for 2018.
Manx Radio has been broadcasting the Southern 100 since 1964, the Pre-TT Classic since 1988 and the Post-TT since 1991, becoming official broadcast partner for all three events in 2013.
Club secretary George Peach said: “As organiser of three prestigious events on the Billown course it is important that we have first-class commentary, not only around the course keeping the spectators informed but also via the radio, website and apps to what is now a worldwide audience.”
Manx Radio’s Alex Brindley commented: “As the Isle of Man’s national public service broadcaster, Manx Radio is delighted to be continuing its support of such a key part of the Island’s sporting calendar in the Southern 100 and Pre- and Post-TT races.”
This year sees the 30th anniversary of the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races.
