Seeley charity
By: Malc Wheeler
The Joan Seeley Pain Relief Memorial Trust, set up by Colin Seeley following the death of his first wife Joan, who at the age of thirty‑nine died from bone cancer, has made a generous donation to the Selly Oak Queen Elizabeth Hospital Charity Birmingham of £2890 to help with the purchase of pain relief equipment.
Now in its 31st year, the charity is a true trust, with no paid officials and no administration costs, so every pound collected is spent on equipment. Thousands of pounds have been raised over the years with some 30 hospitals supported throughout the UK.
