Return to Assen
By: Malc Wheeler
After the ground breaking Assen Centennial in 1998, which set the current continental circus of past masters' parades in motion, it was difficult to imagine a return to the ‘Cathedral of Racing’ but the circus rolls back into Assen once again over the weekend of 18-19 September.
Among the first to confirm his attendance was Giacomo Agostini, who will ride the 500cc Yamaha, which is part of the Yamaha Classic Racing Team, on which he clinched his final World title, evergreen Swiss ace Luigi Taveri and Italian legend Carlo Ubbiali. The entry list changes daily, as more riders confirm, so you can get up to date information from www.cctt.nl and details are also on the circuit's website www.tt-assen.com
